Black is the standard-issue colourway for Hard Yakka's 3056 Lace Zip Safety Boot, and the specification doesn't cut any corners for it. Full lacing combines with a 10-gauge YKK coil side zip, so the boot can be tightened properly first thing and then just zipped on and off for the rest of the shift. A wide-profile composite toe cap and a non-metallic Wellmax puncture-resistant plate are both compliant with EN ISO 20345:2011 and rated S1P FO HRO SRC, and a 300°C heat-resistant rubber outsole sits above a shock-absorbing Phylon midsole for all-day comfort on hard floors. A memory foam/PU footbed with ERP Pod comfort technology cushions the foot, and a flexible neoprene 'hoodie' collar prevents rubbing at the ankle. AEGIS anti-microbial treatment controls odour, and the water-resistant leather upper carries an abrasion-resistant scuff cap. The lining is REPREVE fibre made from recycled plastic bottles, with a GRS-certified recycled toe bump and heel stabiliser adding a genuine sustainability angle.
