Instead of buckles or hardware that snaps under load, the MOLLE-Pal is a soft nylon joint that lines up the PALS webbing ladders on two adjacent pieces of kit and locks them together at a handful of points, with a hook-and-loop tab holding the fastening shut. No tools are needed and nothing to break — the nylon construction flexes rather than cracking, unlike the moulded plastic connectors most pouches ship with.
