These are Hornady 6.5mm SST component bullets for handloading, not loaded ammunition, sized at .264" diameter and weighing 140 grains. The SST (Super Shock Tip) pairs a hard polymer tip with a secant ogive, boattail profile, giving a flat-shooting bullet with a high ballistic coefficient that holds velocity well over stalking distances. On impact the polymer tip is driven into the lead core like a wedge, starting fast but controlled expansion and a large wound channel. Hornady's exclusive InterLock ring mechanically locks the core to the jacket, so the bullet keeps its integrity through expansion, retains weight and is more likely to drive a clean pass-through. A mid-body cannelure lets you apply a consistent crimp during loading and helps keep core and jacket together. It is a capable choice for deer and medium game, suiting popular 6.5mm cartridges such as the 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Remington and 6.5x55. Supplied as projectiles only, in a box of 100, for reloaders who assemble their own rifle ammunition.
