A genuine KOFS flush-fit choke tube in 12-gauge, cylinder bore, part of the maker's own set of interchangeable chokes running from cylinder through to full. Cylinder is the most open of the standard constrictions - effectively no choke at all - so the shot pattern spreads widest and quickest out of the muzzle. That makes it the natural choice for close, fast shooting: woodcock and snipe in thick cover, driven grouse at close range, or any situation where the target can appear and disappear again inside a few strides. Being a flush-fit tube, it sits entirely within the barrel with nothing extending past the muzzle, so the gun's handling and balance stay exactly as they were built. Fit and remove it with the correct KOFS choke key, always making sure the tube is properly seated and hand-tight before you shoot - a loose choke can damage the barrel threads. Keeping a cylinder tube in the choke wallet means you can switch a multi-choke KOFS 12-bore over to close-range work in a couple of minutes.
