The Laurin Metalli 77mm Carving Blade Blank is a knife-making component from one of Finland's most respected blade manufacturers. Made in Kauhava — the traditional heart of Finnish knife-making — Laurin Metalli has been producing blade blanks since 1918, and their blades are used by knifemakers throughout Scandinavia and beyond. This carving blank is ground from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, heat treated to 57–58 HRC, giving a balance of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance well suited to a working blade. The blade measures 77mm in length, 20mm in depth and 3.25mm in width, making it a compact, nimble carving profile. Supplied as a bare blank with no handle or sheath fitted — the buyer drills, shapes and fits their own handle material and fittings to complete the build. Suitable for a Scandi-style puukko or a carving knife project.
