The Neptune is Le Chameau's neoprene-lined offshore boot, designed by yachtsmen for experienced sailors. Each pair is handcrafted from start to finish by a Le Chameau master bootmaker in the brand's saltwater-resistant natural Chamolux rubber and tested to make sure it is 100% waterproof. A fixed Wave-Guard gaiter at the top seals against breaking water, with a quick-release cord lock to tighten it and mesh that lets any water that does get in drain away fast. The neoprene lining keeps feet warm through long watches in cold conditions. Underfoot, the non-marking Marine sole has a suction grip that holds on wet decks without scuffing them. Neoprene insulates well but is not breathable, so in warm weather or on long, active days your feet may perspire; dry the lining thoroughly if it becomes damp.
