The Lee Factory Crimp Die for the .270 Winchester Short Magnum is used after the bullet is seated to hold it firmly in the case neck. That helps give more uniform start pressure and less velocity variation, and the die works on bullets with no crimp groove. A useful accessory for magazine-fed hunting rifles chambered for the 270 WSM. It is sold as a single die and is used alongside your own sizing and seating dies, with the crimp adjusted to suit your load.
