The Pulsar Recon 870R is a compact and lightweight Digital Night Vision Monocular. Offering great performance, the unit is resistant to bright light exposure, making it ideal for a wide range of applications and featuring a 5x magnification with a 2x digital zoom. In combination with the highly sensitive CCD array this unit has a detection range of up to 300m (depending on environmental conditions). The Recon 870R can be used in very low light environments by using the built-in covert eye safe 915nm IR illuminator. The 640x480 OLED display provides a crisp and detailed images even in sub-zero temperatures and the underside of the unit also has a video-out port.
The Recon 870R features a mount fitting which combines a ¼" tripod socket (to enable tripod mounting), a Weaver short rail to enable mounting different accessories, including; auxiliary IRs, sound amplification and other systems.
The Recon 870R features a built in recording facility which can store movies and video.
Basic functions
The units built-in IR-Illuminator and selection of display modes can be controlled by the buttons located on top of the unit. The selectable colour modes are; black and white, black and white with increased contrast, green (simulates image in a tube-based NV device) and red (helps eyesight quickly adapt to night conditions after using the NV device). Users are also able to adjust the brightness of the screen so the settings suit their specific personal preferences. On the underside of the unit is the recorder controls. The Recon 870R feature a built-in IR Laser illuminator that complies with Class 1 laser safety. The laser IR Illuminator is invisible to the unaided human eye and has a covert IR range of 915nm. Video Out
The Recon features a video out jack meaning users can connect external recording devices to the unit as well as connect and view the device through a TV. Mounts
The Recon night vision scopes feature a tripod socket (to enable mounting on a tripod) as well as a Mil – STD 1913 weaver short rail to enable mounting different accessories to the unit, including auxiliary IRs, sound amplification and other systems. Features:
