The Sierra Tipped MatchKing (TMK) is a .30 calibre (7.62mm/.308" diameter) 155 grain match bullet, supplied here in a box of 500 for high-volume reloaders. Built on the renowned MatchKing platform, it uses a thin, precisely tolerated jacket and a boat tail base, with weight held to within +/- 0.3 grain for consistent, repeatable accuracy. The addition of a polymer (acetal resin) tip reduces drag at the meplat, lifting the G1 ballistic coefficient to 0.519 for a flatter trajectory and better retained velocity downrange compared with the standard untipped MatchKing. The pointed profile also feeds more reliably through magazines, making it a strong choice for Palma, F-Class (FTR and F Open) and 3-Gun-style competition shooting where consistent chambering matters as much as raw accuracy. This bullet has a non-coated jacket, no cannelure, and a sectional density of 0.233. As with all MatchKing-derived bullets, Sierra does not recommend the TMK for hunting anything larger than varmints, as its heavier jacket construction is built for match accuracy rather than rapid expansion. This is a reloading component only — not loaded ammunition — and should be seated and loaded according to Sierra's published data for .308 Winchester and similar .30 calibre cartridges.
