The Sitka Core Midweight Zip-T is a quarter-zip base layer built from a quick-drying, midweight comfort-stretch fleece in a 96% polyester/4% elastane blend, giving it enough stretch to move freely under a stalking jacket or waders without binding at the shoulders. The high, zippered neck opens up quickly when you're working hard and closes down again the moment the wind picks up, so it does the job of regulating core temperature across a genuinely wide range of conditions rather than just one. Polygiene odour-control technology is bonded permanently into the fabric rather than applied as a wash-in treatment, so it keeps working wear after wear, which matters on a multi-day hill trip where washing kit isn't an option. Flat, low-profile seams run throughout to stop chafing under a rifle sling or rucksack strap. At around 10oz it's light enough to layer under a smock or jacket without adding bulk, and substantial enough to wear on its own on a mild day.
