The SmartRest Rail for Thermal and Spotlights (SRTWR) is a flat-base mounting rail that attaches to a thermal monocular, or to a spotlight, and turns it into a quick-release fitting for SmartRest's Mounts, swivels and SpydaBot units. Once the rail is fitted, the unit clips straight onto a compatible SmartRest mount, so a thermal or spotlight can be moved between a rifle, tripod or vehicle mount in seconds rather than being screwed and unscrewed each time. Fitting the rail to a monocular is a straightforward drill-free attachment; fitting it to a spotlight is not - the spotlight bracket needs DIY drilling to take the rail, though every fastener needed for the job is supplied in the box. This is the flat-base version of SmartRest's thermal rail; a curved-base version is sold separately for monoculars with a rounded underside. It's aimed at foxers, pest controllers and night shooters who run a spotlight or thermal across more than one mount and want a fast, repeatable way to swap it over in the field.
