The SME Sight-Rite Chamber Cartridge is a laser bore sighting system designed to help shooters achieve a working zero before visiting the range. Each cartridge is precision-machined from brass to exact chamber tolerances for the relevant calibre, seating like a dummy round for a precise, wobble-free fit. A high-output laser beam projects down the barrel from the muzzle end, allowing the user to align a scope or open sights with a target at a chosen zeroing distance without firing a shot. The laser comes factory-aligned so it is ready to use without any adjustment, and batteries are supplied in the box. By establishing a rough zero on the bench before live firing, the Sight-Rite system reduces the number of shots needed to achieve a final zero — saving both time and ammunition.
