The jacket arrived very quickly. It is excellent quality. I went a size up (xl) as suggested on various other reviews. A large would have been a good fit (it’s designed to be closer fitting) but I think it may have been a little snug around the shoulders / arm pits if I wanted to wear a thick fleece underneath, so going a size up is a good choice if you want to layer up and still have plenty of free movement. Without layering my xl is a little loose, which is not a problem as I enjoy the freedom of a looser jacket the large would have been a good fit if I wanted a closer fit (so it comes down to personal preference). The jacket is described for active hunting, I run hot and usually go for a shell waterproof over a base layer. This jacket is more than a shell layer with the inner mesh lining (not thermal), cuffs at the sleeve and soft to touch exterior so it will be warmer than a shell. It does have side vents which I will probably have open all the time. I haven’t used this in the field yet as it’s too hot at the moment (25 degs). I will use this when it is cold and wet and if I’m static I will use it when it’s a little less cold. For me walking around the hills with pack and rifle in anything over 8/10 degrees it’ll probably be too warm, but again I do run hot. If youre doing less strenuous stuff this would be great for autumn through to early spring in my opinion. Looking forward to using it when it is cold as is a great comfortable jacket with a great hood and loads of pockets with water proof zips, the sort of jacket you feel smug about when it’s lashing down and cold. Excellent value at the discounted price, very happy.

Very satisfying purchase.

I ordered after long deliberation. A super coat , fitted makes for better flexibility . Pockets are a great size, quiet when hunting. Well worth the money in my mind .
