The Tipton Ultra Jag Set is a 13-piece caliber-specific collection of cleaning jags, packed into a durable hinged case with clearly marked cavities so the right jag is always to hand. Covering .17 to .45 calibre (excluding .20), each jag is nickel-plated brass and sized to give an optimum fit to the bore for thorough, efficient cleaning rather than the compromise fit of a generic jag. All jags use 8-32 threads to suit standard cleaning rods, with the .17 calibre jag fitted with a 5-40 thread. Tipton's Ultra Jag surface carries a solvent-proof coating that stops aggressive modern bore solvents producing the false blue staining often mistaken for copper fouling, making it easier to judge when a barrel is genuinely clean. For anyone maintaining rifles across several calibres — whether for stalking, vermin control or target work — this set removes the guesswork of matching jag to bore and keeps the whole collection organised in one case. A practical, no-frills addition to any cleaning kit alongside a quality rod and solvent.
