Woolpower's Long Johns 200 are the brand's most popular base-layer long johns, knitted in the thinnest weight of their own Ullfrotté Original fabric for a combination of warmth and flexibility that suits stalking, wildfowling or any cold day in the hide. The unisex model is circular-knitted with no lengthwise seams, so there is nothing to chafe when you are moving, sitting or crawling into position, and a sewn-in gusset in the back gives freedom of movement without the garment feeling tight. The fabric is a blend of 60% merino wool, 25% polyester, 13% polyamide and 2% elastane; terry loops on the inside trap air for insulation while the wool wicks moisture away, so the garment keeps working even if it gets damp. Knitted-in cuffs and waistband keep everything in place under trousers or waders. The fit is roomy and unisex, so Woolpower recommends women choose one size down from usual while men take their normal size. Pre-shrunk and machine washable at 60°C, it is a durable, no-nonsense first layer for cold-weather fieldwork.
