Long Johns M's LITE from Woolpower is a merino base layer cut with a single seam down the outside of the leg and no inner-leg seam, removing the usual chafe point on long days on foot. The fabric is 80% merino wool and 20% polyamide, knitted in Woolpower's tighter 1:1 rib LITE construction — the thinnest fabric the brand produces. It doesn't insulate in quite the same way as Woolpower's classic Ullfrotté Original terry, but the tighter knit and higher wool content make it noticeably cooler against the skin, so it works well as a true base layer worn next to the body: insulating when it's cold, and helping to cool you down when conditions turn milder, which is why Woolpower recommends LITE both for warmer climates and as an all-round base layer. A soft, smooth elasticated waistband carries the knitted-in Woolpower logo, and at around 200g in size M it layers easily under trousers or waders without adding bulk. Machine washable at 60°C; avoid the tumble dryer.
