Woolpower's Long Johns M's Protection LITE are a lightweight base layer built for people who work with fire, arc flash or static risk — electricians, welders, forestry and utility crews — where ordinary thermals aren't allowed. The fabric is a 60% merino wool and 38% Lenzing viscose FR blend with 2% antistatic fibre, certified to EN standards covering flame resistance, antistatic performance and electric arc protection. Merino wool is naturally slow to ignite and won't melt onto the skin, and the FR viscose keeps that protection washable and durable through repeated work-week laundering. Knitted in a tight 1:1 rib, Protection LITE is Woolpower's thinnest fabric — cooler against the skin than their heavier Ullfrotté Original knits, even though it carries more wool by weight, so it works as a year-round base layer rather than just a winter one. All seams are flat-locked to prevent rubbing, and the waist has a sewn-in elastic for a snug, comfortable fit. Worn next to the skin under FR outerwear, it regulates temperature and moisture without compromising the certified protection.
