The Woolpower Zip Turtleneck 400 is a heavyweight merino wool mid layer built for cold, low-activity conditions such as a long stalk or a static day on the hill. It's made from Woolpower's own Ullfrotté Original 400 fabric — a 70% merino wool, 28% polyamide and 2% elastane blend, circular-knitted with terry loops on the inside to trap air and hold body heat. Because the garment is knitted in the round it has no lengthwise seams to chafe under a rucksack or harness, and the back panel is cut longer than the front so it stays tucked in and keeps gaps from opening up when you bend or reach. A low turtleneck collar with a short front zip lets you dump heat quickly when you're working hard, then zip back up the moment you stop moving. The roomy unisex cut is designed to layer easily over a thinner base layer and under a windproof shell. Machine washable at 60°C; do not tumble dry.
