The Woolpower Zip Turtleneck LITE is a lightweight, long-sleeved merino wool base layer built for high-output use in milder conditions. Unlike Woolpower's heavier terry-knit ranges, the LITE fabric is rib-knitted with longitudinal seams placed to sit comfortably against the body — a curved seam set further round the back for fit, and a flat raglan seam at the shoulder so it does not chafe where a rucksack strap or gun sling sits. The turtle-style collar has a zip that can be opened to dump heat quickly once you are working hard, then closed again as soon as you stop. Best worn next to the skin, it is designed to regulate temperature and manage moisture across changing effort levels, walking in and then sitting still on the hill, for example, while merino wool's natural odour resistance means it can often be aired rather than washed. The fabric blends 80% merino wool with 20% polyamide for stretch and durability. Every garment is made from start to finish in Woolpower's factory in Östersund, northern Sweden.
