The Hooyman MegaBite Hunter's Combo is a folding handsaw with two interchangeable 8in blades — one for bone, one for wood — so a single tool covers both the gralloch and the ground work. Both blades are cut from high-carbon SK5 steel in a tapered profile with impulse-hardened four-edge MegaBite XP teeth, a geometry that bites quickly, stays sharp through repeated use and gives the blade a long working life. The bone blade goes through bone, meat and hide without clogging, making short work of splitting a carcass in the larder or in the field, while the wood blade is the one to fit for trimming branches, clearing shooting lanes or tidying around a high seat. The saw locks open in two positions — standard and hyper-extended — for a choice of cutting angles, extends to 17in and folds down to 9.5in to drop into a roe sack or jacket pocket. A double-moulded, non-slip grip keeps it secure in wet or bloody hands, and the included nylon sheath keeps blades and kit protected between outings.
