The Dressing Fox is a finished knife from Laurin Metalli's Fox range, distinct from the raw hidden-tang blade blanks the Finnish maker is best known for. The blade is 83mm long and 1.5mm thick, ground from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with a Scandi grind and micro bevel, giving a durable, easy-to-maintain edge suited to fine, controlled cutting. Overall knife length is 195mm. The handle is a soft-grip thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), moulded for comfort and a secure hold when hands are cold or wet, and the knife is supplied with a polymer blade cover for safe carrying and storage. As its name suggests, the Dressing Fox is built for dressing and preparing game and other close cutting work, sitting alongside the Fox range's carving, whittling and fleshing knives from the same Kauhava, Finland workshop.
