The NateChrony v2.5 is a barrel-mounted ballistic chronograph for air rifles, and the current base model in the NateChrony range, replacing the original v2. It shares its internals with the higher-spec SteadyShot, so it can be upgraded later via a software purchase. Rather than carrying its own screen, the NateChrony uses your own phone, tablet or laptop as the display and power source: it broadcasts its own Wi-Fi hotspot, and you load a page directly from it, with no app to install, no internet connection and no data shared. Mounted on the barrel using one of two supplied 1/2" UNF threaded adapters, it reads to within 1fps of actual pellet speed at 1,000fps against NateChrony's certified master chronographs, with a resolution under 0.1fps shot to shot. It shows a live shot string alongside full statistics - min, max, average, spread and standard deviation - with four further save slots that keep their data even through a power loss, plus live graphing and voice readout, all configured through the web interface. This version has the lightweight polymer housing in black, weighing 60g - the lightest option in the range. Air-powered guns only; CO2 can cause vapour and is not recommended.
