Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof is a spray-on waterproofer for fabric, leather and fabric/leather combination footwear and equipment, restoring Durable Water Repellency without stiffening the leather or losing breathability. It works on both wet and dry items, making it quick to apply straight after cleaning or as a top-up treatment between outings. The formula leaves a flexible, water-repellent finish that lets moisture vapour escape, so boots stay waterproof on the outside while still breathing — useful for anyone spending long days out in wet conditions on the hill or in the field. It's suitable for use on Gore-Tex, eVent and other waterproof/breathable combination footwear, as well as general fabric and leather gear. For best results, boots should be cleaned first with a dedicated footwear cleaning gel before spraying evenly and wiping off any excess. Being water-based, non-flammable and fluorocarbon-free, it's a straightforward way to keep fabric and leather footwear performing through the wet weather without harsh solvents.
