Nikwax Nubuck & Suede Proof is a spray-on waterproofer designed specifically for nubuck and suede combination footwear, such as walking and stalking boots. It's quick to apply straight onto clean, wet boots, either sprayed or sponged on, with no need to soak the whole item first. Once applied, it develops a highly durable water repellency (DWR) as the boots air dry, leaving a flexible, water-repellent treatment on the individual fibres of the nubuck or suede rather than sealing the surface. This means moisture vapour can still pass through the leather, keeping feet dry and comfortable while the boots remain breathable. Crucially, the formula is built to maintain the natural texture and nap of nubuck and suede rather than flattening or stiffening it, so treated boots keep their look as well as their performance. The 125ml spray is a convenient size for topping up waterproofing between longer wear, and fits easily into a boot-care kit for anyone regularly out in wet conditions.
