The DOC 150 is a humane kill spring trap originally developed by the Department of Conservation in New Zealand, used for predator and pest control. It is approved for trapping grey squirrels, rats, stoats and weasels, and meets NAWAC (National Animal Welfare Advisory Committee) humane-kill guidelines in New Zealand. The trap is listed under the UK's Spring Trap Approval Order and must always be set inside a suitable tunnel rather than in the open. Since January 2019, UK regulations require a closed-end tunnel for grey squirrels, while rats, stoats and weasels may also be taken using a run-through tunnel configuration, provided the tunnel meets the manufacturer's specification. Robustly built for repeated use across a trapping season, the DOC 150 is a practical, widely stocked option for gamekeepers, land managers and conservation volunteers carrying out predator and pest control. Bulk order discounts are available for keepers running multiple trap lines.
